Starting from December 1, 2024, BALANCE initiates a participatory, artistic, and training process for teenagers to become active agents in promoting emotional well-being and mental health. It will be developed in Catalonia and Coimbra, Portugal, in collaboration with Caritas Coimbra, the Intermunicipality of Coimbra, and the Ajuda e Esperança Foundation. This project is co-financed by the European Commission through the Citizenship, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program and will be carried out from 2024 to 2026.
BALANCE promotes the training and empowerment of young people aged 13 to 18 to become active agents in advocating for mental health and emotional well-being. To achieve this, training sessions, theatre workshops, and participatory processes will be conducted, culminating in the celebration of the Iberian Festival for Mental Health. BALANCE will involve more than 450 adolescents, educators, and families from Catalonia and the Portuguese region of Coimbra by the end of 2026.
