We have launched Once Upon a Diverse World, a European project to promote intercultural activism, anti-racism and peace among young newcomers.
Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, this project empowers newcomers aged 18 to 30 to become activists for diversity through the transformative power of storytelling, artistic practices, and intercultural training.
Activities for empowerment and community connection
During the 16-month duration of the project, until December 2026, several activities will be organized:
- Storytelling and artistic expression workshops.
- Training sessions for youth professionals .
- Visits to social entities to promote mutual knowledge and the creation of links.
- Meeting spaces between newcomers and civil society organisations.
These actions seek to foster intercultural dialogue, combat racism and promote social inclusion through art and personal narrative.
European Partnership for Diversity
The project is coordinated by Fundesplai and brings together two European entities:
- Popoli Insieme (Italy): specialized in the reception of refugees and intercultural education.
- Visual Voices (Cyprus): collective of artists that promotes social change through art.
