This Monday, September 4, 2023, more than 350 coordinators and cooks of the Fundesplai midday teams have participated in the beginning of the course meeting held at Centre Esplai (El Prat de Llobregat). This day has served to kick off the presentations of ” Estima, the educational proposal to celebrate life” focused on emotional well-being and that will take place during the 2023-25 academic years. In addition, the event will help create synergies and links between the midday educational time teams.
Núria Tomàs, professor and professor at the Institute of Education – Neuroeducation and Emotional Education, gave the conference “Growing in health and emotional well-being: a challenge!”, where she highlighted the importance of school canteen spaces, extracurricular activities, etc. for the physical development and emotional well-being of children. Previously, Froilan Salgado, operational director of Fundesplai, thanked the commitment of all the teams and highlighted the educational work they carry out with children and young people in schools.
The day has had an important training part. After the initial presentation, the participants were divided into groups and took part in different workshops such as human resource management, the application of educational projects and the key moments of the course, insulin security, new food trends or procurement and inventories.

The new educational proposal of Fundesplai for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years is based on the basis that socio-educational action must create and promote environments where children, young people and families can take care of their emotional well-being and develop the ability to care for others. In this sense, the midday educational teams of schools, youth centers, camps, etc. will play a fundamental role. For this reason, the proposal includes a lot of resources to facilitate its deployment: a pedagogical notebook, animation axes adapted by age, collective challenges to dynamize joint actions throughout the territory, the proposal of different activities to be able to do in esplais, schools or summer camps and a bank of pedagogical resources.
