A new edition of the Encoratja’t project that we develop from Fundesplai, aimed at women from 16 to 29 years old, has begun. The objective is to promote the employment of women, offering training in different areas that can facilitate their transition to the labor market.
Victoria Carolina is training as a kitchen assistant: “In the course we are learning everything necessary to facilitate the work and help the cook, whether cutting, cleaning …”. For her part, Rita is doing the leisure monitor course: “We train to help, teach and accompany children to school or esplais.”
Throughout the training process, participants have personalized support: “We interview the tutors to find out how everything is going”. In this way there is a follow-up of the process and women can share their doubts, concerns, impressions…
Beyond training, with the Encoratja’t programme, participants create a strong bond between them. “We’re very good and very comfortable,” Rita says. Victoria Carolina also explains that from the first moment they felt a lot of connection: “From different areas and points of view we have been able to create a group. It’s like we’ve known each other for four years.”

Encorja’t promotes the reconciliation of women with young children
The Encoratja’t project aims to facilitate the reconciliation of women who have young children. For this reason, she offers space for care: “This is very good and it is easier for me, because here she learns many things, while I do the course and when it is time I come to feed her”, Rita explains.
One of the aims of the project is to facilitate and improve the labor insertion of women and Rita hopes to be able to work in a school to be with children. Victoria Carolina, for her part, prefers to take advantage of this option and will see what happens: “I do not think about the future, but I look at where I am now. If I have the option of doing this training, I do it. If I end up working on something else, go ahead, but what I take.”
