On Sunday, May 21, the Tibidabo Amusement Park hosted the Solidarity Party organized every year by the newspaper El Periódico and that this edition destined to the scholarship campaign for summer camps of Fundesplai. All the people who bought the ticket that day with a special code obtained a discount with respect to the general price and collaborated with the aforementioned solidarity campaign.
Throughout the day, visitors entering the park were able to participate in a joint space of activities between El Periódico and Fundesplai located at the entrance to Tibidabo and aimed at children, young people and families. Thousands of people passed through the workshops of badges of the Rights of the Child, drawing of a better world and creating characters, as well as taking funny photographs in a photo booth and receiving special gifts from El Periódico.
The team that promoted the activities also took the opportunity to inform visiting families of the campaign “Let’s make a summer possible for everyone!” which seeks to ensure that all children and young people can enjoy educational leisure activities during the summer holidays. This campaign made it possible to offer 7,995 scholarships and grants to children and young people in vulnerable situations in 2022. In 2023, Fundesplai expects to award nearly 8,000 scholarships.
