On the occasion of World Water Day, on March 22, at 6:00 p.m., the online conference ‘Aquaponics: a method of circular cultivation of fish and vegetables’ will take place. The talk is open to everyone and prior registration is required at this link.
Aquaponics is a circular method that combines the cultivation of plants and vegetableswith the cultivation of fish. It is based on a biological process that transforms fish waste into a natural fertilizer, allowing the cultivation of high quality plants and vegetables faster and using fewer resources than in conventional methods. To learn more about this practice, the talk will feature the CEO of the company Green in Blue, Loïc Le Goueff.
Green in Blue is a circular technology startup located in Barcelona and dedicated to the development of aquaponics since 2015 with the vision of promoting a more sustainable urban food chain .
The main activities of the company are the manufacture and installation of aquaponics growing systems, as well as the production of sustainable vegetables and fish for businesses in the province of Barcelona. Green in Blue also develops projects in schools and promotes educational workshops at its facilities in Granja Blava, the first aquaponics farm in Catalonia.
