This Saturday, September 18, the Movidic, the meeting of the beginning of the course of monitors and heads of the leisure centers that are part of the Catalan Federation of Recreation will be held at Centre Esplai (El Prat de Llobregat). After almost two years of virtual meetings, this 2021 the event will be face-to-face with all the security measures to prevent Covid-19 (small work groups, mask, gel, QR codes for traceability…). More than 200 people are expected to participate.
The day will serve to take stock of the summer activities, raise the new challenges of the 2021-22 academic year and learn about “Eating changes the world”, the new educational proposal for the right to healthy and sustainable food.
After the presentation of the proposal, at 10:30 a.m. there will be a round table “Why eating changes the world” with the participation of Ana Moragues Faus, from the University of Barcelona; Gemma Salvador Castell, Dietitian-Nutritionist at the Public Health Agency of Catalonia; and Javier Guzmán, Director of Food Justice.
Later, between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., training spaces will be made that seek to offer educators resources to work with children and young people. In total, there will be 11 workshops, including one on learning to cook at recreation, one on how to work in entities on the Sustainable Development Goals, another on the experiences of a pastor who will talk about field and gender or another on the impact that overpackaged produce on health.
