On 28 March 1996 , the Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai was constituted, which articulated the initial project in a legal, organisational and political manner. A shared mission is defined, the symbol of the pineapple, and the promoting organizations contribute to the new Foundation with the heritage generated since its creation. These organizations are: the Catalan Association of Summer Camps, Esplai Services, Associative Support, Movibaix and the Escola del Baix.
