Young people from esplais of the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai have created five videos about coexistence and sustainability.
Young people from different esplais of the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai have created five short videos where they reflect on coexistence and sustainability, the axes of “nuSOS”, the educational proposal of Fundesplai for the courses 2019-2021. This is a service learning initiative where young people are first trained, in this case in audiovisual skills, and then develop a service to the community thanks to the new skills learned, the social reflection videos.
The video spots are a stimulus for the boys and girls to get used to writing, interpreting and recording their proposals in Catalan around the themes of migrations, refugee and interculturality. This project is supported by the General Directorate for Language Policy (funding for subsidized actions comes from the Heritage Board), and the Barcelona City Council.
Fundesplai has been promoting for years the work with audiovisual language with young people through service learning. On this occasion, the esplais Druida, La Tortuga and Comkedem from Barcelona, the Centro de Esplai Bellvitge (Hospitalet de Llobregat) and Enlleura’t (Mataró) have participated and have produced the short films “Islamophobia” and “Syria” on migration, “Stay with the change” on sustainability and “Danjou” and “Comkedem” on diversity, inequality and gender.
