A group of girls and boys from 14 to 18 years old from La Fàbrica Jove de Salt win the 6th edition of the Hip Hop for Peace contest.
A group of 8 girls and boys between 14 and 18 years old from the youth equipment The Youth Factory of Salt, win the sixth edition of the Hip Hop for Peace contest organized by the International Catalan Institute for Peace (ICIP) in the modality aimed at young people linked to youth centers and organizations.
The Youth Factory of Salt is a youth facility co-managed between the Youth Department of the City Council of Salt and the Department of Social and Educational Action of Fundesplai for 8 years.
The winning proposal of the young people of La Fàbrica de Salt is “Is the same“, and it is accompanied by a video clip where, through rap music, they talk about important issues for them such as immigration, racism, ethnic discrimination and machismo.
The music video has had the support and financing through the advice of Òmnium Cultural. The different professionals who have participated in the accompaniment of the young participants have worked as an artistic creation project accompanied by a pedagogical background, thus promoting the critical spirit and the use of Catalan.
