On March 29 we will organize the conference ‘Educate in technology with a gender perspective. Resources for the educational world’.
Fundesplai and Fundación Esplai will organize a conference on March 29 at Mobile Week Barcelona in which we will present the initiatives we carry out in the promotion of technologies: ‘Educate in technology with a gender perspective. Resources for the educational world’. It is a seminar aimed at professionals in the educational world through which they will obtain resources for the promotion of STEAM skills among children.

The Mobile World Capital Foundation organizes, between March 28 and April 3, Mobile Week Barcelona as a metropolitan initiative to promote activities and entities of the Third Sector that involve technology in its challenge to make a better, more inclusive and egalitarian society.
In the official presentation of Mobile Week, Laia Bonet, third deputy mayor of Barcelona, stressed that “Vall d’Hebron, the Ateneu Barceloní and the Esplai Foundation share the view of technology at the service of people”.
In this sense, the speakers will discuss three general lines that Fundesplai and Fundación Esplai already have in mind in some of their programs, for example, in #ChicasInTech. In this case, professional digital skills are worked on with special interest in the inclusion of women in the STEAM labor market, overcoming gender stereotypes linked to professions.
Already at the Mobile World Congress we learned about many interesting initiatives of the third sector thanks to the m4Social conferences promoted byMobile World Capital and the Third Sector Board of Catalonia, where the Barcelona Digital Coding socio-labor insertion program was presented, in which Fundació Esplai is a founding partner.
Sustained participation in activities such as Mobile Week reaffirms the health of partnerships between the public and private sectors to tackle the digital divide.
Throughout the next week, more than 40 entities and 80 experts will present their proposals to the general public. Fundación Esplai and Fundesplai, will offer the seminar «Educate in technology with a gender perspective. Resources for the world of education».
