For several years now we have been using the mentoring methodology as a driver of change, especially among young people. In this line, this course we are promoting LGTBIQ+ mentoring with several objectives:
- Promote the social inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people.
- Provide a safe and welcoming space to make visible LGBTI-phobic situations and other types of violence derived from being part of the collective.
- Promote networking between LGTBIQ+ people and, at the same time, with entities, groups and/or associations in the territory.
This year’s edition of this program, developed by our department of social action and young people, has taken an intersectional look: people with functional diversity who participate in different projects of the entity will be the first users of the project.
This group requires more support and accompaniment, since they suffer from an invisibility of their experience of sexuality and are not considered autonomous in vital decision-making processes.
