Valencia and Madrid hosted the territorial debates on Citizenship and Democratic Quality organized by the Foundation, which began on February 4 in Barcelona.
Thus, on Tuesday, April 1, the Valencia meeting was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences of the University of Valencia, where about 60 people participated, while the Madrid meeting was held on Tuesday, April 8, at the headquarters of the University of Valencia. Encuentro Foundationwhere about 40 people took part. In both cities, the debate revolved around participation, democracy and the importance of civil society regaining a leading role in public life.
Barcelona was the first of the cities to host these seminars, on February 4, which brought together sixty political, trade union, association and expert leaders. The meeting, which took place at the Palau Macaya (Barcelona) of the Fundació la Caixa, was opened by Joaquim Brugué, Professor of Political Science and Director of the IGOP of the UAB, and Carles Barba, vice-president of the Foundation, who gave way to group work.
