The educational proposal remains under the motto ‘ Menjar canvia el món’, but this year focusing on one of the main current challenges: food waste.
‘ Menjar canvia el món‘ is the educational proposal of Fundesplai that is maintained for the 2022-2023 academic year. This year, however, it will focus on the issue of food waste with the following objectives: to raise awareness about the causes and consequences of food that is thrown away, recover the value of food and promote consumption behaviors based on care and responsibility.
This line of action responds to one of the biggest problems of the current food system, which we must all face. That is why from Fundesplai we launch this educational proposal that translates into the twinning with local producers through the midday educational spaces, a campaign to dismantle the lies of food advertising and a collective recipe book, which will constitute the main activities of the program.
Over the next few months we will be working with children and young people on what waste is, its causes and its consequences. We will also carry out training, animation and awareness having this axis in the center. Finally, we want all this learning to be translated into actions that we can develop at home and collectively.
