Of the 29 young people who completed their training within the framework of theFit4Jobs project , 19 have already achieved the commitment to sign contracts in the collaborating companies, including Everis and Setting Consultancy.
On July 29, the closing ceremony of the program was held with the presence of Ricard Faura, from the General Directorate of Telecommunications and Information Society (DGTSI) of the Generalitat, Núria Valls, manager of Fundación Esplai, and Vanessa Paulino, head of human resources of the company Everis, and the young people who presented their projects.
Fit4Jobs is a project promoted in Spain by the Association Community of Telecenter Networks and co-financed by the European Commission aimed at the professional reorientation of young people between 18 and 30 years old, who do not necessarily have previous studies or knowledge in information and communication technologies.
For about 160-180 hours, students have received training in transversal technologies and skills that provide them with knowledge to start developing their working life in the technology companies sector. Once the training period was finished, those who passed the selection process had the possibility of joining the world of work with the companies in the sector collaborating in this project. Nineteen have already achieved this and work is being done so that the remaining ten can also get a contract.
It should be borne in mind that it is the companies themselves that put on the table the need to have young professionals specialized in certain technological topics and that the young participants in Fit4Jobs have received precisely this knowledge. Specifically, in this edition, they were trained in JAVA programming language and database management. The hiring companies pledged to continue training these young people once they join their jobs.
