This Thursday, June 25, the presidents of the 33 federations of social entities, including Josep Gassó and Núria Valls (president and deputy general director of Fundesplai respectively), who make up the Third Sector Board, and its president Àngels Guiteras, met this Thursday with President Mas. President Mas was accompanied, among others, by Neus Munté, vice-president and councillor of social welfare and family, Felip Puig, minister of enterprise and employment, Jordi Baiget, secretary of the Govern and secretary of housing, Carles Sala.
During the meeting, the president of the Third Sector Board, Àngels Guiteras, asked President Mas to dedicate all his efforts so that the Plan against poverty presented a few weeks ago becomes in the future an all-party pact, in response to the persistence of the social emergency situation that the country is experiencing. For social entities, the concertation of a great Pact would allow to promote policies of greater stability, ambition and commitment in the objective of the fight against poverty.
The meeting also served to take stock of the Support Plan for the Third Social Sector, signed in September 2012, which has allowed a high level of dialogue between the Third Sector and the Government to be maintained throughout the legislature. An interlocution that has been highly valued by the social entities during the meeting, due to its interdepartmental, transveral nature and led from the Department of the Presidency.
