This week in Fundesplai we have received two very special visits, that of Rafael Ribó, Síndic de Greuges today Thursday and that of Lluís Mijoler, mayor of El Prat de Llobregat, on Tuesday. In both cases, they were received by Josep Gassó, president of Fundesplai and Anna Romeu, vice-president, and other members of the organization.
This morning, Rafael Ribó came to CENTRO ESPLAI to hold a working meeting with representatives of Fundesplai to discuss the need to request a specific reconstruction plan to deal with the consequences of Covid-19 on the set of activities of services to children and youth, to what is generically defined as educational leisure services.
The Síndic de Greuges, who was also interested in the entity’s future projects, visited the Campus of Social Journalism and New Formats of the Ara newspaper and Fundesplai, which this week brings together 46 boys and girls at CENTRE ESPLAI. The young people have taken advantage and organized a press conference in which they have asked him questions on issues related to the social effects derived from the Covid-19 crisis.
For his part, during his visit on Tuesday afternoon, the mayor of El Prat de Llobregat, Lluís Mijoler, learned about the evolution of the future projects of Fundesplai as well as the educational, social and environmental initiatives that are developed in the network in the territory.
At the end of his visit, Mijoler unveiled the new guestbook of CENTRE ESPLAI, where he wrote a text that ended as follows: “I ask you to continue with the same strength and drive to continue building a better city, in a better neighborhood like Sant Cosme and, ultimately, a better country”.
