The exhibition “Menja. Actua. Impact” promoted by Demà / Fundesplai has been recognized with the Gastronomic Responsibility Award in the category of Responsible Initiative of the Slow Food Barcelona community, which share the values of the international Slow Food movement: clean, good and fair food production. The award was presented on Friday, September 23 within the framework of the Terra i Gust fair, held during the festivities of La Mercè in Barcelona.
The other winners were the Community of Km0 Slow Food Chefs, in the category of the Responsible Chef Award, and the Consorci de Gallecs in the category Award for the Responsible Producer. In this way, Slow Food Barcelona wants to recognize people, groups and initiatives that promote sustainable and healthy food where local and seasonal products, organic farming, the fight against waste, etc. are of great importance. In short, a healthy diet for people and that contributes to the care of the planet.
In addition, during the Mercè Festival a sample of the exhibition on sustainable and healthy food “Menja. Actua. Impacta” by Demà / Fundesplai could be visited at the Terra i Gust fair between September 23 and 25. At the fair, it was possible to taste different dishes and tapas, attend talks, listen to music and visit exhibitions such as “Menja. Actua. Impacta”… and all related to sustainable and healthy food and agriculture.
