Laia Bonet, Councillor for Mobility at Barcelona City Council and President of TMB, attended the opening of the exhibition ‘Menja. Actua. Impacta.’ which will remain in the Mercè Sala space of the Diagonal metro stop until March 30. Gerardo Lertxundi, CEO of TMB, also participated.

The president of TMB stressed the need for food, an activity so present in our daily lives, “to be aware and aware of the impacts that this generates, not only on our health, but also on the planet”. Bonet also added that the intention of this tasting of the exhibition is “for people who see it, fall in love with the project, take the metro and go to El Prat to continue with this itinerary proposed by Fundesplai”.

For his part, Josep Gassó, president of Fundesplai, wanted to thank this opportunity to amplify the exhibition to another space and took advantage of the event to invite you to visit the exhibition ‘Menja. Actua.Impacta.’ in El Prat, claiming that projects like this can be in territories outside the center of Barcelona. Precisely, on World Environmental Education Day, Gassó recalled the work of Fundesplai working for a more sustainable world through education, task carried out by this exhibition.

Carles Xifra, director of the exhibition ‘Menja. Actua.Impacta” and director of Content and Innovation of Fundesplai, was in charge of presenting what can be seen in this exhibition. It is a compilation of the five most important challenges in which we can work to advance towards the sustainability of the planet and the health of people. The exhibition, very visual, wants to reflect the current situation of food through data that aims to impact on the awareness of citizens and, in this way, favor the change towards more sustainable food.

The Mercè Sala space is located in the lobby of Diagonal station and can be accessed free of charge every working day from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition runs through March 30.
