The European project Young People with Values (YoPeVa), young people with values in English translation, which promotes youth employability, was launched with the kick-off meeting held between 18 and 20 January.

YoPeVa is a project funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus Plus programme. It is led by Fundesplai and counts with the participation of the University of Barcelona and entities from Sweden (Vuxenutbildningen Boras), Romania (ACDC), Italy (CESIE), Netherlands (Business Development Friedland) and Portugal (Fundaçao da Juventude). The City Council of Cornellà de Llobregat has also participated in these initial meetings.
Its objective is to adapt the Fundesplai “Jove Valor” program to the European context and enrich it with the experiences of the participating partners. For 24 months, the partners will develop a plan to implement Jove Valor in their countries.
The initial meetings have allowed the members to know more in detail this initiative, which Fundesplai has promoted since 2017, and which has obtained results of insertion and return to very positive studies. The methodology was presented, which combines a training process, work on skills and professional experience in a welcoming company. Likewise, the meeting was attended by the entity Renapsi, which carries out in Brazil the Jovem Aprendiz initiative, which inspires the Young Valor.
