The collaboration of the Abacus cooperative with Fundesplai’s “Summer camps to play together again!” campaign made it possible to grant a scholarship to for 100 children in vulnerable situations to enjoy summer camps. The slogan of the campaign that Fundesplai launched this year had the objective of providing scholarships to children in vulnerable situations so that they could enjoy summer camps and summer camps, especially this year when many children suffered from the pandemic and confinement. This initiative made it possible to offer 4,667 scholarships, thanks to the collaboration of administrations, companies, organizations and individuals.

The Abacus cooperative was one of the collaborating organizations with the solidarity checkbook. During the months of July and August, in Abacus stores, customers could purchase a solidarity voucher for 1 euro to collaborate with the Fundesplai campaign. This action raised 8,452 euros, which allowed 100 children to enjoy a camp scholarship.
The campaign “A camp to play together again!” wanted the summer activities to become an antidote to the effects of confinement on many children and to allow girls and boys to re-socialize, play with friends again and enjoy nature. The final balance sheet made it possible to organize 1,374 batches of camps, colonies, work camps and work camps, which hosted 35,426 participants.
