This Thursday, November 26, took place the I Metropolitan Forum of Education for Sustainability, at the headquarters of the AMB, (Barcelona), organized by the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, with the collaboration of Fundesplai, which has aimed to exchange experiences and resources to work with maximum coordination for an educating territory in terms of sustainability.
Both the presentations and workshops highlighted the importance of education efforts for sustainability as a tool to stop climate change.
The forum was attended by technicians from metropolitan city councils, teachers and students, educators, researchers in the field of education, communication and participation for sustainability, etc. who are interested or are active agents in the offer of education for sustainability in the metropolitan territory.
The day featured presentations “Awareness, accountability and… ACTION!”, from Michelangelo Prats, Director of undergraduate studies in Early Childhood Education at FPCEE Blanquerna-URL, and “Is climate change: explaining it in a simple way possible?”, by Javier Martín Vide, Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Barcelona, graduate in Mathematical Sciences and doctor in Geography and History. Coordinator of the Group of Experts on Climate Change of Catalonia.
In addition, there have been different spaces for the exchange of experiences on sustainability for primary, secondary students, teachers, families and leisure education entities.
