This year there have been almost a hundred participations in the new format of the Sopr Solidari traditionally organized by Fundesplai with the collaboration of chef Ada Parellada.
Once again, there has been a great response from participation in the Fundesplai Charity Dinner organized in collaboration with chef Ada Parellada. This year the new format has allowed donors to enjoy a meal at the Semproniana restaurant.
The donations obtained through this action will be used for scholarships and grants for children in vulnerable situations for school canteens, educational reinforcement activities, extracurricular activities or camps.
After the figures achieved, with almost a hundred registrations made, from Fundesplai we want to thank the collaboration of all the participants who in this way help to make a better world possible.
Equal opportunities in childhood
This initiative aims to respond to the latest figures from the Statistical Institute of Catalonia (Idescat), which indicate that 28.6% of children in Catalonia live at risk of poverty. This means that many families have problems buying food products for a balanced diet, cannot cope with an unforeseen expense or buy the necessary school supplies for their children.
A situation that has been aggravated in recent months by the rise in prices, inflation and the energy crisis.
The importance of educational leisure
The school canteen guarantees adequate nutrition for children and educational reinforcement activities, camps, summer camps and extracurricular activities are essential for the integral development of children and young people, especially those who are in vulnerable situations.
