On Wednesday, November 16, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Fundesplai will present Demà Jove at its headquarters in El Prat de Llobregat, a program that aims to insert unemployed young people with little or no training into the labor market.

This program combines learning, personalized support and an employment contract from day one. Currently, about 300 young people are already participating in this initiative. The Dema Jove is promoted by Fundesplai with the collaboration of the Brazilian organization Renapsi, initial promoter of the program, and is funded by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia.

The presentation will have a wide representation of institutions, social organizations and young people that corresponds to the broad social impact of the proposal. Institutional speakers include Carles Campuzano, Minister of the Department of Social Rights of the Generalitat; Esther Maria Perez, Deputy Director General of Inclusion Policies of the Ministry of Inclusion; Enric Vinaixa, Secretary of Labour of the Department of Enterprise and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya; Josep Ginesta, General Secretary of Pimec; Adair Meira, Founder of Renapsi; and Josep Gassó, president of Fundesplai. A delegation from the state of Goiás (Brazil), one of the regions of the country where the program is developed, will also participate.

The presentation of Demà Jove will take place on Wednesday, November 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Centre Esplai (Riu Anoia 42-54, El Prat de Llobregat).

The schedule will be as follows:

9:00 h to 9:10 h  -Welcome.

9:10 h to 9:45 h  – Presentation of Dema Jove by:

  • Cristina Rodríguez, General Director of Fundesplai.
  • Juan Carlos Moreno, Executive Director Dema Jove by RENAPSI
  • Young people from Brazil and Catalonia.

9:45 h to 10.30 h – Round table: ‘Actions for the inclusion and employment of young people’.

  • Enric Vinaixa, Secretary of Labour of the Department of Enterprise and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
