The Saturday, November 5, at Caixaforum, 150 boys and girls of different ages will participate in a forum ” We are children, we are present” where they will talk as equals On their experiences around the value of participation: How do they participate in our recreation? How would you like to participate? What do they expect from educators? What motivates them to participate?
This day will have the motto “ We are children, we are present” is an initiative that wants to add to the extension of the culture of participation among leisure entities. The project, led by the esplai Enlleura’t and the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai and with the collaboration of the Aid Programme for Social Initiative Projects of Obra Social la Caixa, in the category of Social Action and Interculturality 2015, is contributing to raising awareness of the importance of generating instruments, processes and spaces for children, to make the real exercise of their citizen rights operational.
The meeting will also include a “laboratory” space for the boys and girls themselves to share projects and experiences where their participation and prominence are visualized. Among other initiatives, the proposal ” Reclaiming play spaces in the city” will be presented, a proposal promoted by different esplais to transform urban leisure spaces and which has also had the visual support of a theta camera provided by the social responsibility department of the company RICOH.
