Positive balance of camps and camps facilities.
The Fundesplai 2021 summer activities campaign ended on September 14 with a very positive balance. Fundesplai has organized 1,678 rounds of casals, camps and camps facilities during 83 days that have welcomed 70,373 participants. In order to guarantee access to these activities, Fundesplai has granted a total of 5,923 fellowships and aid for children in vulnerable situations.

This has been the second summer with the Covid-19 pandemic and the fact that it has been possible to hold a campaign with indicators that, in all cases, exceed those of the summer of 2019 (the year before the pandemic) makes the final balance very favorable. Thus, this year 22.1% more activities have been held, with 2.4% more participants, compared to the summer of 2019.
According to those responsible for Fundesplai, This summer has demonstrated a successful organizational capacity, which has made it possible to guarantee the right to education and leisure of children and young people, while ensuring the safety of children with prevention protocols and hygienic-sanitary measures. According to data presented by the Generalitat de Catalunya, Covid-19 has only affected 0.54% of participants in activities organized throughout Catalonia.
Campaign of gratitude to the monitors
The success of summer activities, in the exceptionally complicated context of the pandemic, has led Fundesplai to thank the involvement and enthusiasm of all the monitors, as well as the commitment of the families and everyone who, despite the difficulties, has made possible a happy summer for the children. The campaign consists of the dissemination of advertisements in the press and a video on social media.
