Fundación Esplai is committed to the Mentoring processes at Tresca Europe so that finally young people can choose the mentors who will accompany them during the 6 months of the project that links young people and mentors. Tresca Europe is an initiative promoted by Fundación Esplai that offers new opportunities for socio-occupational inclusion to young people.
This reinforces the commitment to have biweekly meetings and follow common lines of work to achieve a better socio-labor insertion of young people, always with a technical person of the project who supports at all times. In total, of the young Tresca Europe students in 2015, 19 have joined the Mentoring.
For networking, generating added value that activates volunteers
Fundesplai joined last April 17, 2015 to the “Coordinadora de Mentoria per a la Inclusió”, an organization based in Barcelona that was born in 2012 to reinforce Mentoring and opts for networking. Its mission is “To strengthen the mentoring programs of the entities, so that they become an effective methodology to reduce the marginality and exclusion of children and young people at social risk”.
Fundesplai and Fundació Esplai have several initiatives that incorporate Mentoring: the Tresca Jove project, Tresca Europe and AMA (Accompaniment of Adolescent Mothers). Other initiatives from other organizations were also incorporated into this network, which already totals more than 12 projects, endorsed by local and international organizations.
One of the key figures in the mentoring processes are the volunteer mentors who generate added value to the project: in this sense, Fundación Esplai and Fundesplai have incorporated twenty volunteers in 2015, who have committed themselves to our organization, to be mentors, in various ways. These volunteers have had selection meetings, training meetings, and finally can support the young Tresca Europe.
