The summer camp of music and journalism “Canta Victòria!” of the Diari ARA and Fundesplai incorporates two first-class artists: Mariona Escoda and Edu Esteve. The camp is aimed at young people from 11 to 17 years old and will have two shifts: from June 26 to July 1 and from July 3 to 8. Escoda and Esteve complete the musical program of this activity that will also feature the group Xiula, which will help young people to compose and record a song during their stay.
Mariona Escoda in the 1st week of the campus
Singer, composer and performer, Escoda already has two albums (“Tal com had to be” and “D’una altra manera”) with which she has won the recognition of public and critics (Enderrock Award 2023) and is consolidating herself as a fundamental voice within the Catalan music scene. His compositions converge pop and folk melodies, with an important vocal work and even touches of rock. Songs that transmit the emotional moment of the author and that makes her connect with the audience in a very intense and direct way, especially among the youngest.
The young people who participate in the first week of the “Canta Victòria!” campus (from June 26 to July 1) will be able to enjoy a day with Mariona Escoda at Centre Esplai and interview her, one of the genres that is most worked on in music journalism. An unforgettable morning for all participants.
Edu Esteve in the 2nd week of campus
With the newly released new album “Ara o never”, singer Edu Esteve continues to boost his career through pop, electronica and the most festive rhythms (you can see the collaboration of Adrià Salas from La Pegatina) come together in songs that invite you to dance and laugh. “Ara o never” complements the first work entitled “Fènix” (2021), compositions that he is already presenting live on his tour.
In the second week of the campus “Canta Victòria!” (from July 3 to 8) young people will be able to meet Edu Esteve, his motivations for composing, his future projects with an interview.
A song with Xiula and a lot of fun activities
In the music and journalism campus of Diari ARA and Fundesplai, young people will learn the basics of interviewing musicians and understanding the importance of social networks in the music and journalistic sector. In addition, during the stay they will compose and record an unreleased song with the group Xiula.
All this combined with recreational activities: sailing, kayaking, paddle surfing, cycling through the natural spaces of the Delta del Llobregat and other surprise activities.
This Campus takes place at the Centre Esplai Hostel in El Prat de Llobregat from where all journalistic activities and leisure activities will be energized, enjoying the spaces of the Delta and the beach.
