This 3/12, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated, a date to claim leisure as an essential tool to change the view on people with disabilities.
Today and Saturday two very important dates are celebrated by Fundesplai and all the entities that are part of it: today, December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and Saturday, December 5, the International Volunteer Day.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities , we want to claim leisure as an essential tool to change the way we look at people with disabilities, but also to promote their autonomy, generate new experiences, personal relationships and improve self-confidence.
People’s rights come first, people with disabilities should be able to have the same rights and opportunities as other citizens, and their disability should not be an obstacle to enjoying their lives on equal terms.
From Fundesplai we promote true inclusive spaces in esplais, schools, summer camps and the projects we promote, where everyone has opportunities to access, grow, relate, learn… and so that no person feels excluded, that no young person discriminates against another, that no educator limits the possibilities of living new experiences to boys, that no family stops participating… May we all make the dream of a better world for all come true.
On the occasion of this day, many of the esplais that are part of the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai celebrate different activities. In
this link you can see the events they organize.
Likewise, to make leisure without barriers possible,
all our houses and hostels are fully adapted for people with reduced mobility.
