From next September 12, Fundesplai will begin the management of non-residential educational intervention services for children and adolescents in the municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallès.
This action is part of the strategic line for the consolidation of a management model for youth centers and open centers that Fundesplai began in 2013. The entity has made a firm commitment to the incorporation into its network of centers of these characteristics with the aim of starting to work with methodologies and operating characteristics that provide aspects of improvement and constant rethinking.
This proposal has been structured around two potentialities of the entity such as expertise in this field of intervention as well as the territorial presence of Paidos-Fundesplai in the municipality of Sant Cugat, where it is a benchmark at the level of educational and pedagogical services.
Two open centres and 100 children and young people
The service, granted for a period of 2 years, will serve a total of 100 children and young people distributed between the two Open Centers present in the municipality (Can Llobet Open Center and Sant Cugat Open Center) and the Natura workshop, referring to the Youth Workshop project present in the municipality for more than 10 years.
Fundesplai wants to work giving continuity to all the work carried out during the years of management of the different services with a model of socio-educational project that helps to support, advise and accompany children and young people of the different services, in such a way that it can influence the causes and the specific situations they live and improve them, through actions that promote good networking and community work and coordination with the different educational, social, cultural and youth agents of the municipality.
