From 28 June to 1 July, a delegation from Fundesplai and the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai travelled to Perpinyà as part of the 195km project. We were welcomed by colleagues from Les Francas des Pyrénées Orientales, a federation of leisure education entities.
What is 195km?
This project (subsidized by Erasmus+) promotes the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the two entities (Fundesplai and Federació Catalana de l’Esplai with Les Francas), focusing on two main themes: sustainability and inclusion.
It is based on two visits, one to Catalonia in March and the other to France in June. The result of these visits will arise from the MOOC-type courses on the chosen topics, which will be presented at the end of the year at a closing ceremony ofthe project in Perpignan. It also aims to create synergies by progressively consolidating our relationship and alliance on both sides of the Pyrenees.
What have we done on the trip to Perpinyà?
During our appointment we have visited different activities that respond to diversity and promote the inclusion of children and young people with functional diversity. Likewise, we have participated in specific training on this topic and we have known specific didactic resources to work on educational diversity.
We also set aside a space for reflection to devise proposals and future projects in which to work together. Finally, we attended the assembly of Les Francas in the Occitanie region (which includes the department of Pyrénées-Orientales that welcomed us). On their trip to El Prat, the comrades from France also participated in the Assembly of the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai as we have now done in theirs.
Collaboration agreement
Within the framework of the assembly, we signed an agreement between Fundesplai and Les Francas. In this way, we are committed to continue working and exploring ways of collaboration between both entities. Some of the first ideas for the future are the exchange between children and young people of leisure centres and leisure centres (as esplais are called in France).
