On April 1, Álex Peñalver Martínez, a student at IES Esteve Terrades in Cornellà, was the first person to obtain a 1,000 on the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) certification test in Excel, the highest score in this initiative promoted by the Esplai Foundation and Microsoft. Another student from the same school, 17-year-old David Girón, who is also a student of an intermediate degree in computer science, was the first to achieve a 1,000 in the Powerpoint certification, almost a year ago.
Future certification actions are planned with this institute, which, thanks to the commitment and involvement of Óscar Chueca, a teacher at the school, is collaborating with the scholarship. MOS since its inception.
As a result of this relationship, Fundación Esplai will sponsor the office automation catSkills that will be held at the center in June and during which several students selected from all over Catalonia will compete to test their skills in the use of Office. Fundación Esplai will award the winners with Office 2013 licenses thanks to the support that Microsoft gives to its e-inclusion programs.
