On Monday, September 19, the eighth edition of the AMA project (accompaniment of adolescent mothers and young people) began, aimed at young mothers and their children from 0 to 3 years old.

During this week, the team has been meeting with the mothers and their children to get to know each other and make the adaptation of the little ones. This year fifteen women and ten children will participate. Among the participants, these first days you can feel the nerves and excitement of starting classes and meeting other women.
The AMA project facilitates the exchange of personal experiences and allows women to get out of social isolation. However, their sons and daughters also have the “Niu”, led by three educators, a space for care and socialization where they attend daily while the mothers are training.
One of the main objectives of the project is to accompany young mothers in a process of transforming their lives towards a better future for them and their children. The project includes training in the leisure monitor course, workshops on the prevention of sexist violence, meeting spaces to strengthen marentals capacities and career guidance.
