We have already launched the new Fundesplai summer portal with all the information for families and the possibility of registering for summer camps, camps, work camps or holiday stays.
After weeks of being cooped up at home because of the Covid-19 pandemic, summer activities will be more necessary than ever because they will allow all the boys and girls to be able to connect with normality and get back to playing together, breathing fresh air and enjoying nature. They will be the best antidote to the effects of confinement!
Extensive offer of activities in the new summer portal
To make it easy for families, from Fundesplai we have renewed the summer website with all the information, space for frequently asked questions, the hygienic-sanitary protocols by Covid-19 and with all the offer of vacation activities, which is expected to exceed the 1,300 batches and 68,000 participants last year.
On this portal, families can choose between camps and camps for children (sports, nature, languages, technology…); camps for boys and girls and, for young people, work camps, which combine an action of recovery of the natural environment with recreational activities. The offer also includes spaces for young children and family vacations in the summer camps.

Among the outstanding proposals are the camps and environmental volunteer camps that we organize jointly with El Periódico de Catalunya; the Campus of Journalism that we organize with the Ara newspaper and the thematic programs for family vacations, such as stays for singles with children, off-line camps or the possibility of bringing pets.
In addition, and in a transversal way, the summer activities will also work on “NuSOS“, the educational proposal for global citizenship, coexistence and sustainability, which is the educational axis of Fundesplai for the 2019-2021 courses.
All activities are organized directly by Fundesplai or in collaboration with schools, organizations and municipalities. Also for the 115 esplais and leisure projects that make up the Catalan Federation of Esplai.
A safe and very special summer
The pedagogical teams and the people in charge of the Fundesplai summer camps are adapting the activities to adjust them to the hygienic-sanitary regulations and, at the same time, to give an educational and emotional response to the needs of the children.

Prevention measures include ensuring personal hygiene and hygiene in common areas, prioritizing outdoor activities, having small groups of 10 participants with an educator and daily monitoring of symptoms associated with Covid-19.
Likewise, the educational teams are providing specific training in emotional education to detect and address any fears or concerns that the children may have accumulated during the weeks of confinement.
Solidarity campaign so that all children can go to the summer camps and summer camps
Since 2011 Fundesplai is already organizing a campaign to raise funds and ensure that no child is left out of the camps and summer camps for economic reasons. In the last year we were able to award 4,844 scholarships. This year, however, the circumstances are doubly special and that is why from Fundesplai we call for the collaboration and commitment of all.
