Closing of the course of family spaces and family toy library

Last Wednesday, June 18, was held at the GE Espurnes, in Esplugues de Llobregat, the closing activity of the project   “Family spaces and playroom in families”   of the Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai (Fundesplai).

Last Wednesday, June 18, the closing activity of the project was carried out at the GE Espurnes, in Esplugues de Llobregat “Family spaces and playroom with families” of the Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai (Fundesplai). The children 0-3, their families and the educators of the project enjoyed a children’s entertainment by the Articula’t group and a collective breakfast between all.

This project aimed at young children began in the last quarter of 2012 in 6 esplais of the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai: the Club d’Esplai Pubilla Cases Can Vidalet  (L’Hospitalet-Esplugues de Llobregat), the Bellvitge  Recreation Club (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat), the Club d’Esplai El Tricicle  (Sant Joan Despí), El Nus  Recreation Centre (Sant Joan Despí) and the Grup d’Esplai Espurnes  (Esplugues de Llobregat)  that join the pioneering project of Family Space of the Mowgli  Recreation Center that has been operating for three years. The Penguin  Recreationof Sant Andreu de la Barca is working to make it possible.

The Family Spaceis a service aimed at families and aimed at children from 0-3 years old and the Family Toy Library It is a free play space for children 0-6 years old and their families. Both projects, where the child attends with the adult, represent a place of accompaniment and support for upbringing through the exchange of experiences between families, play and the relationship between children with the support of the educators of the service.
 
This year, the project has allowed pedagogical training, by the Study Center, specialized in early childhood and aimed at the educators of the service, individualized advice, workshops and talks for families, purchase of toys and furniture, … that has facilitated its good implementation in the esplai and has given quality to the project.
In the field of recreation, we believe that this project is fundamental, as a motor and “gateway” to new families and babies, so that they can experience leisure from an early age, and so that these babies can grow up at recreation, passing  for young people and why not, becoming monitors.
