New edition of the Jove Valor program aimed at unemployed young people between 18 and 29 years of age, through which they discover and improve their talent by empowering and strengthening their skills.
Fundesplai develops a new edition of the Jove Valor project Jove Valor initiative aimed at young people, between 18 and 29 years old, unemployed, through which they discover and improve their talent from the empowerment and strengthening of their skills.
Jove Valor offers the boys and girls a 6-month professional experience (with a part-time work contract) in a welcoming company and combines a training and competency-based work process.
During 2017-2018, the first pilot edition of the project was carried out and evaluated by a team of researchers from the University of Barcelona and the results confirm that the project:
■ It has offered young people an opening to a new reality.
■ A resounding change in their lives because a majority have found work (65%).
■ Those who do not work have wanted to resume their studies.
■ They have developed great personal growth and competence.
In this new edition we want to respond more than ever to the productive sectors of the territory, working together in the design of the training actions to adapt them to their real needs and maintaining permanent contact during the execution of the entire project. In this way, the project acts as a bridge between labor supply and demand, thus enabling a high insertion rate.
Youth Guarantee program requirements:
- To have Spanish nationality or to be a citizen of the Union or of the States that are part of the Agreement on the European Economic Area or Switzerland who are in Spain in exercise of free circulation and residence. Foreigners holding an authorization to reside in Spanish territory that entitles them to work may also register.
- Be registered in any municipality in Catalonia.
- Be over 18 years old and under 29 years old at the time of applying for registration in the National Youth Guarantee System File.
- Not having worked on the calendar day prior to the date of filing the application.
- Not having received educational actions on the calendar day prior to the date of submission of the application.
- Not having received training actions on the calendar day prior to the date of submission of the application.
- Submit an express declaration of interest in participating in the National Youth Guarantee System, acquiring a commitment to active participation in the actions developed within the framework of the Youth Guarantee.
