A Brazilian delegation led by the Governor of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, and the president of the legislative assembly of that state, Gabriel Souza, as well as different deputies of the chamber visited this Thursday, October 7, 2021 the headquarters of Fundesplai in El Prat de Llobregat.

The Brazilian delegation met with Josep Gassó, president of Fundesplai, and other representatives of the entity to share common experiences, especially in the field of youth inclusion. It is in this area where both the state of Rio Grande do Sul and Fundesplai promote different innovative projects on which they want to study how to work together.
Fundesplai has been collaborating for years with the Brazilian organization Renapsi in programs aimed at improving job opportunities for young people at risk of exclusion and, currently, both entities are working on establishing a model applicable at European level with organizations from Spain, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and the Netherlands.
Future projects
During the visit, Leite and Souza were able to learn about the entity’s immediate future projects, which include an expansion of its facilities and the launch of a large exhibition on sustainable and healthy food.
The visit to Fundesplai of the Brazilian delegation is part of an official trip made by the Governor of Rio Grande do Sul to Spain and France with the aim of strengthening ties with institutions and companies in our country.
The State of Rio Grande del Sur is the fifth state with the highest HDI (Human Development Index) in Brazil. With approximately 11.3 million inhabitants – 5.4% of the Brazilian population – it generates almost 7% of the national GDP.
