For the third year, Fundesplai (Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai) opens during the month of August its holiday homes and hostels so that all families can enjoy holiday stays, fun and educational, of the highest quality, at a social price. And, in addition, solidarity, because Fundesplai dedicates a percentage of the price paid by families to scholarships for children without resources so that next summer they can go to a camp!
A one-week stay in August for 2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years old in a holiday camp costs € 516, that is, less than € 130 per person!

For the third year, Fundesplai (Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai) opens during the month of August its holiday homes and hostels so that all families can enjoy holiday stays, fun and educational, of the highest quality, at a social price. And, in addition, solidarity, because Fundesplai dedicates a percentage of the price paid by families to scholarships for children without resources so that next summer they can go to a camp!
The stays are offered at a social price, really affordable for families. For example, the stay of 7 days/6 nights, full board, for a family of a couple with two children up to 16 years old in most of the holiday homes and hostels of Fundesplai is only € 516. In this case, the full week of August, all inclusive, costs less than € 130 per person!
This price includes full board, the use of facilities and swimming pools and a program of daily activities led by teams of educators that allow families to rest and, at the same time, discover the different environments of great natural interest where the houses are located.
In addition, all the families that participate in these stays know that they are also making a gesture of solidarity, since a percentage of what Fundesplai pays is dedicated to scholarships for children from families without resources, so that next summer they can go to summer camps and camps.

Fundesplai started this program of stays for families in 2012 and in these two years the demand has increased by about 35%. This year, before the start of August, nearly 7,000 stays have already been booked, representing 90% of the maximum occupancy. For the head of the holiday homes of Fundesplai, Ester Garcia, “this increase is due to the fact that the proposal responds to the real needs of families and that it offers a recreational and educational holiday option of the highest quality at an affordable price”. “This level of satisfaction –concludes Ester Garcia- is also reflected in the assessment survey that families respond to at the end of their stay”. Last year the average of this rating was 9 out of 10.
Rest and enjoy nature
Spending a few days with your family in a holiday camp provides the opportunity to take a holiday where you can rest and disconnect from the routine, live together as a family and not worry about everyday intentions (cooking, cleaning …), share fun activities with other families, enjoy nature and discover all its secrets thanks to the teams of environmental educators and get to know the country through walking tours, going to the nearest villages…
Among the houses where you can stay this August are Can Mateu, Els Porxos, La Cinglera and El Company (all four in Vilanova de Sau, Osona); Mas Cabàlies (Pyrenees); Can Massaguer i la Traüna (Montseny). Also in the hostels of La Rectoria de la Selva (Solsonès); Viladoms de Baix (Bages) or Cal Pons, in Puig Reig (Berguedà).
Most houses have a swimming pool and are fully adapted for people with mobility problems. Most of the rooms have their own bathroom and can be for the exclusive use of each group or family unit.
