52 people, workers of the Decathlon company and their children, participated last Sunday, September 25, in an environmental volunteering action in L’Olla del Rei (Castelldefels), coordinated by the environmental education area of Fundesplai.

The Olla del Rei are a set of small artificial lagoons located on the campus of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Castelldefels, which periodically need intervention to regulate their biodiversity.
The group of Decathlon volunteers participated with three actions: scientific bird banding, construction of nest boxes and removal of turtles, to prevent their proliferation from endangering the diversity of fauna of the lagoons.
