The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is celebrated on 25 November. On this day, we want to claim the importance of education for equality to achieve a society free of sexist violence. In Fundesplai we work daily in schools, esplais, summer camps and other educational spaces with thousands of children and young people to promote egalitarian education with educational proposals such as Encoratja’t, for gender equality and zero violence.

In addition, in recent years from Fundesplai we are promoting different initiatives such asAMA (Accompaniment to Adolescent and Young Mothers), which offers training and accompaniment in the upbringing of young mothers; The recent Awka, aimed at young women who have suffered gender violence and who are looking for a safe space to share and reconstruct their experiences; or the task of advising entities in Equality plans developed by the Department of Third Sector Support, among many others.
In this sense, it is worth highlighting the round table “Mental health and young women” that we organized on October 20 at our headquarters and where the need to make mental health, sexist violence or the importance of creating spaces of empowerment were addressed.
