The Federació Catalana de l’Esplai turns 20 in 2016 and to celebrate it next Saturday, February 27, has organized the #20anys20cims day in which different esplais, monitors, families, workers, etc. will crown 20 summits simultaneously.
The Federació Catalana de l’Espai is the entity of Fundesplai that promotes the social and educational recognition of leisure centers and articulates different territorial dynamics through networking. It currently brings together 84 leisure activities and projects with more than 13,000 children and young people and more than 1,500 monitors.
Many peaks are ready!
So far, there are already about 25 esplais that have organized excursions with their children, monitors and families to reach the summit this day and each one is preparing the route according to their group. Thus, among others, the Esplai Espurnes will go up to Sant Salvador de Saverdera in the Alt Empordà, the Esplai El Mamut will crown Sant Ramon (Baix Llobregat) or the esplais Enlleura’t, Can Serra and la Maduixa will summit the castle of Burriac (Maresme), while Fundesplai as an entity will climb the hill of Montsoriu, where the castle is located, in the heart of Montseny.

The celebration of the 20 years of the Federation with the collective activity #20anys20cims is part of “Camins”, the educational proposal of hiking and nature that the Federation and the esplais that are part of it this course are working.
