THE INDUSTRIAL AND GLOBALIZED AGRI-FOOD SYSTEM Currently, we can affirm that there is a highly industrialized and globalized hegemonic agri-food system. Although, fortunately there are many experiences that continue to face and resist this model and that, in addition, demonstrate great resilience to the challenges that are presented to us and will be essential to face the new climate scenarios. Since the outbreak of the Green Revolution in the second half of the twentieth century, which allowed food production to increase by a third worldwide, food production began to depend heavily on non-renewable resources.
