Butterfly census
ENVIRONMENTAL VOLUNTEERING ACTION SOM NATURA
Are you a lover of nature and its ecosystems? Are you looking to promote sustainability in your day to day life? Participate in this citizen science project by conducting a butterfly census with the Fundesplai environmental education team! These insects are bioindicators of the environmental quality of the environment and their observation allows us to detect climatic and ecological changes.
During the day we will sample and monitor butterflies to be able to take actions to improve the abundance and diversity of this group of insects in the management of green and natural spaces, transforming these areas into healthier areas. The ultimate goal is to study and test conservation strategies for butterflies and other biodiversity species, learning about their distribution and the habitats they occupy.
