Artur Mas, President of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2010-2016), visited this Monday, February 6, 2023, the headquarters of Fundesplai in El Prat de Llobregat. Mas met with Josep Gassó and Anna Romeu, President and Vice President of Fundesplai, respectively. Mas had previously visited the headquarters of Fundesplai, in 2013 and 2019, but had not yet been able to see the expansion of the facilities included in the new study center, the multifunctional space where the exhibition “Menja. Actua. Impacta” and the new hostel module.
This visit is part of the cycle of meetings that the organization is holding with different institutional representatives, companies and entities, to publicize the present and future projects of the entity. During the tour, Mas was able to visit the innovative exhibition “Menja. Actua. Impacta” on healthy and sustainable food located at the headquarters of the entity and see the new classrooms, where every day hundreds of young people are participating in training courses.
The representatives of Fundesplai have detailed in Mas the educational, social and environmental programs promoted by the entity in schools, esplais, summer camps, etc. and future projects. Also the socio-educational work in the Sant Cosme neighborhood of El Prat de Llobregat, where Centre Esplai is located, the headquarters of Fundesplai that includes, among others, a kitchen and a hostel that is usually at 90% occupancy.
