On Monday, January 30 from 9:30 a.m., the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB), with the support of Fundesplai, will hold the event ‘School environments, healthy meals? Presentation of research in the metropolitan area‘. The event, which will be in mixed format, will be held at Centre Esplai (C/ Riu Anoia 42-54, El Prat de Llobregat).
Knowing and understanding the configuration and relationships that occur in our food systems allows us to better guide the different actions in order to promote more balanced and sustainable production, distribution and consumption dynamics.
Within local environments, schools are key centers of food consumption from which to practice sustainable eating, while developing educational guidelines and citizen awareness to incorporate healthy habits.
This day will also discuss what good practices can be promoted at the municipal level to connect and align the different local agents -producers, distributors and families- in order to promote local environments with more sustainable and healthy food systems for all.
Prior registration is required to attend.
