As part of the celebration of the Universal Day of the Rights of the Child on November 20, the free online conference “Childhood and advertising: a look from food justice” will take place, an event that will feature the main presentation of Javier Guzmán, director of the Food Justice association.
The conference will revolve around the need to regulate, in thestate public sphere, the food advertising of unhealthy foods in childhood, based on a context where 82% of ads for processed foods aimed at children advertise products with a high content of salt, fats or refined sugars (study of La Gaceta Sanitaria).
