The activist will be the protagonist of an inaugural conference in the Auditorium, at 11:00 a.m., entitled “The future is here”, and will also participate in a meeting of young people for climate.

At only 12 years old, Francisco Javier Vera Manzanares is a leading figure in climate activism and the defence of a dignified life in his native country, Colombia. Vera Manzanares has carried out actions with local, national and international impact, and has also given conferences in Latin America and around the world.

He is also the founder of the environmental movement “Guardianes por la Vida”, a platform that brings together more than 500 children in Colombia with the aim of encouraging leadership and promoting environmental awareness. Recently, he has posted his first book Pregúntale a Francisco: ¿Qué es el cambio climático?, aimed at children from 5 years old in order to provide tools to face the climate crisis.
