On May 25, 26 and 27 we will celebrate the Digital Rights Forum, which will bring together more than 300 people around how the digital rights of citizens are developed and guaranteed.
On May 25, 26 and 27 we will celebrate the Digital Rights Forum, a meeting with workshops, good practices and round tables in which we will address from different perspectives the main challenges and proposals around how the digital rights of citizens are developed and guaranteed. We will bring together more than 300 people from Third Sector entities, social agents and political representatives. We will co-organize the event with the Plataforma Red Conecta Ciudadania Comprometida and Fundación Esplai, as well as with the networks Somos Digital and ALL DIGITAL.
The meeting is aimed at the people who are part of these networks and entities, although the plenary session on Thursday afternoon will be broadcast openly, in streaming.
Talks, workshops and round tables
During the afternoon of Thursday, May 26, there will be two round tables, one on “The digital divides” where we will have women experts, participants in the debates that we organized last year and whose results we have published in a book from our collection Documents per al debat. And another on the “Importance of strategic alliances for the development of Digital Rights”.
Twelve workshops will be held at the Forum in which participants will analyse, debate and formulate proposals to overcome digital divides and work for citizens’ digital rights. There will also be a marketplace.
Events of the participating networks
Within the framework of the Forum, several events starring the Red Conecta Platform, Somos Digital and ALL DIGITAL converge.
The Red Conecta Platform organizes its Annual Assembly and its first face-to-face meeting, on Wednesday, May 25. Somos Digital, a network of digital competence centres, holds its III biannual meeting. And the European network ALL DIGITAL, its Annual Assembly and Board meetings.
The Digital Rights Forum will take place in the spaces of Centre Esplai, in El Prat de Llobregat, headquarters of Fundesplai and where one of the headquarters of our organization is located.
