The Week is an initiative that promotes youth participation and has the support of Erasmus+, the Ibero-American League and the city councils of El Prat de Llobregat and Barcelona, as well as the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.

This year marks the 7th edition and has the participation of young people from the Fundaçao da Juventude (Portugal), young people who participate in different projects of Fundesplai and young people from esplais.

The initial day was attended by Anna Maria Cuello, Councilor for Equality, Youth and Solidarity  of the City Council of El Prat, Maria Bruno and Núria Valls, head of the Department of Social Action and deputy director of Fundesplai respectively,  who have highlighted the commitment of young people above clichés and the importance of an activity such as the Week in the promotion of participation.

Debate with politicians and many activities

Among the different activities planned during the Week, it is worth highlighting the debate between the young participants and political representatives of the youth field of different parties that will take place on Friday 21 from 12 to 13h in Centre Esplai. This debate will have an initial intervention by Marta Vilalta, general director of Youth, and Josep Gassó, president of Fundesplai, which will give way to the debate in which Natàlia Figueres, from Junts pel Sí, Lorena Roldán, from Ciudadanos, Pol Gilbert, from PSC, Cinta González, from Catalunya Sí Que Es Pot, and Juan Manuel Rojas, from the CUP, will participate.

On Saturday 22 it will be the turn of the workshops. In the morning and afternoon there will be different workshops related to the thematic axis of the Week. Finally, on Sunday 23 in the morning will be the closing of the Week, which will take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in El Prat del Llobregat.
