Last Friday, September 30, a group of workers from different international delegations of Triodos Bank visited Centre Esplai, the headquarters of Fundesplai in El Prat de Llobregat.
Triodos Bank is Europe’s leading ethical bank. Founded in Holland in 1980, its mission as a bank is to contribute to a positive and sustainable change in society from the financial system. This mission is embodied in its investment policy and in the products and services it offers, to which the Bank incorporates criteria of sustainability and positive social impact.
Fundesplai and Triodos Bank signed a collaboration agreement at the end of 2013, through which the entity has been able to access better liquidity to finance its social projects throughout this time. This collaboration reinforces the coherence with the values promoted by Fundesplai and shared by Triodos Bank.
Triodos Bank’s visit is part of the bank’s desire to get to know its customers better. During the tour, Triodos Bank employees were able to learn about the particularities of the Centre Esplai facility, a benchmark building in the field of sustainability that includes a youth hostel, auditorium, work rooms, nature classrooms and an important green area, among other things.
